Domestically, Spurs have been struggling, sitting in 15th place in the Premier League with just 37 points from 32 games. However, Europe seems to be offering some much-needed solace.
Winning the Europa League would mean Champions League football at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium next season, regardless of their league position.
Ahead of their game against Nottingham Forest, Postecoglu remains optimistic his team can turn their season around.
Postecoglu: "It's All About the Semis!"
"It could be, depending on the outcome and the context," he said. "Thursday's win might be pivotal, but only if we deliver in the semi-finals. That's when you'll know whether it was or not."
"You can't declare Thursday as a turning point right now, but I do believe it was significant. We faced a tough opponent and deserved to progress. There was no luck involved."
"Over two legs, we were the stronger team and our victory was convincing. Just being in the semi-finals means we're two games away from a European final. That's a massive incentive!"
"It might turn out to be the pivotal game, but we'll only know that at the end. For now, we're focusing on the semi-finals."
