Turkish journalist Serdar Ali Celikler has stated that Osimhen has reached a verbal agreement with United. However, no official deal has been made between the two clubs.

Osimhen's contract with Napoli has over a year left to run, and there are indications that the Italian club might be willing to sell him for around £25-30 million.

Osimhen has been in impressive form for Galatasaray, scoring 29 goals in 34 games this season, including 21 in the Super Lig.
