City have three points from their first three games of the new Premier League season. They won their opening match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but then lost to Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Doku thinks that after the first match, the team felt good, but things got tougher. He believes they are letting their heads drop too much when they concede a goal. Doku thinks they need to be mentally stronger.
It's possible that City didn't have a good break, as they competed in the Club World Cup in the United States in June. Doku only started training again on July 28th and said they barely had any pre-season.
He also mentioned that many other clubs are in a similar situation. Doku was dropped from the starting lineup after playing against Wolves on August 16th.
Doku said he hasn't started the season well and hasn't been in his best form yet. He's hoping to gain some confidence by playing with the Belgium national team in the World Cup qualifiers.
It's good for Doku to be reunited with former clubmate Kevin De Bruyne, who now plays for Napoli. Doku and De Bruyne will soon face each other in the Champions League.
Doku joked that it will be fun to play against De Bruyne in the Champions League, and that only time will tell who will come out on top.
