Antony is eager to return to Real Betis, where he had a successful loan spell in the second half of last season. However, the Spanish club is facing difficulties in meeting Manchester United's demands for a permanent transfer. Betis would prefer to negotiate another loan arrangement instead.
According to sources, Manchester United has informed Antony that he will have to sit out the first half of the season unless he accepts one of the permanent transfer offers from other clubs.
Several clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, are interested in signing Antony. Leverkusen is currently managed by Erik ten Hag, who previously worked with Antony at Ajax and Manchester United.
