"They are a good team, having beaten Benfica and Copenhagen, and they pushed Bilbao hard before losing. This will be a tough game for us for various reasons. As a team, they are well-organized and intense, pressing high and working with the same manager for many years. They are especially strong at home, making it a challenging match."
Maresca also addressed concerns about midfielder Pedro Neto, who missed training due to a minor issue. "It's just a small problem, and we'll take precautions to protect him. He's not participating in tomorrow's game."
The manager confirmed that the team will make some changes for the match, given the quick turnaround to their next game against Wolves. "It's an important game that can give us three consecutive wins in the Champions League. We need to rotate some players, considering our early return to London on Friday and the upcoming match on Saturday. We'll adapt and do our best."
Summer signing Liam Delap, who recently returned from injury and received a red card in the EFL Cup, will be available for the Qarabag match. Maresca is pleased with Delap's progress and believes he will be a valuable asset for the team.
Regarding Cole Palmer, who is recovering from an injury, Maresca expressed optimism about his return. "We're hopeful he'll be back soon, but we'll take it one day at a time. We're not rushing him, and we're monitoring his progress. We're excited to have Benoit Badiashile available after the international break, which is a significant boost for us."
