By reaching 300 appearances, Iwobi joins an elite group of Africans who have achieved this feat, including Kolo Touré, Mohamed Salah, Wilfried Zaha, and Jordan Ayew.

Despite playing a full 90 minutes against Newcastle, Iwobi's team suffered a defeat. In the match, he had a productive performance, recording two shots, two crosses, 51 touches, 44 passes, and a passing accuracy of 74.4% before being substituted.

In an interview with Fulham's website after the game, Iwobi expressed his pride in achieving this milestone, saying: "It's amazing. It's a big achievement to lead that, with the likes of Shola Ameobi and even my uncle Jay-Jay Okocha that's participated in the Premier League. It's an honour, but I'm not done yet, I'm going to keep on going and hopefully keep the record going."

Iwobi began his football journey at Arsenal, where he impressed in the youth ranks before earning promotion to the senior squad. He made his first-team debut in 2015 and went on to play for Everton and Fulham, where he has set several records.

Iwobi's career has been marked by numerous achievements, including winning two FA Community Shield titles and an FA Cup with Arsenal, as well as being named the 2016 CAF Youth Player of the Year.
