Coach Ben Wilkinson shared his thoughts on the game, stating that he was "hugely disappointed" with the team's performance.
"The scoreline doesn't accurately reflect the game, and I thought we deserved to lose," Wilkinson said.
He felt that the team didn't show enough determination and courage in their play, particularly when it came to scoring goals.
Despite controlling large parts of the game and dominating possession, the team failed to capitalize on their opportunities and create enough chances to score.
"We had numerous instances where we won the ball high up the pitch, but we didn't have the desire to quickly transition and create scoring chances," Wilkinson explained.
The team struggled to recover from a strong start by Dortmund, which saw them take a 2-0 lead in the first half.
In the second half, City pushed to catch up, but the game became disorganized and they were unable to create enough opportunities to get back into the game.
The loss was a disappointing end to the match for the team.
