Tardelli, who was part of the 1982 World Cup-winning squad, told La Stampa that watching Inter's Champions League quarterfinal victory over Bayern Munich brought back memories of an unforgettable period.
"It reminded me of the 1982 World Cup, when we felt invincible after beating Brazil. We were a different team, with a certain look in our eyes and a spirit that said we were ready for anything," he said.
"That's what I see in Inter's players now. They have that same unbreakable spirit."
Tardelli believes that arrogance and presumption could change the course of history, but he doesn't see those traits in Simone Inzaghi's team.
