Zirkzee has been unhappy with his role under manager Ruben Amorim, who has preferred other forwards, including those who joined the team over the summer.

So far this season, Zirkzee has played only 74 minutes in the Premier League without scoring or assisting. In total, he has scored seven goals in 53 appearances for United.

Zirkzee's main concern is missing out on a spot in the Dutch national team's World Cup squad.

It's been reported that his frustration has grown significantly in recent weeks, leading him to consider leaving the team in January as his only option.
