The match ended with City winning comfortably by a score of 3-0.
"We need to focus on the positive aspects of the game," Fernandes said. "While it's not enough to simply look at what we did well, we can learn from our mistakes and improve for the next game.
"To win football games, we need to score more goals and concede fewer," Fernandes explained. "We've been creating chances to score, but we haven't been able to capitalize on them as much as we'd like. We need to be more in control of situations and avoid conceding unnecessary goals.
"In certain situations, we were too passive," Fernandes noted. "For example, we should have been more aggressive in one-on-one situations, and we need to be more aware of opponents' quick counter-attacks.
Fernandes also addressed the team's system and tactics, saying, "We play with a variety of formations, and it's up to the players to make it work. We need to be aggressive and take the initiative in pressuring the opponent, especially in key moments.
"The result was disappointing, but we can learn from the game and improve," Fernandes concluded.
